Summary:

On 28th of August 2012 at 14:39h local time private aircraft type Aquila AT01 with registration number D-ERLM departed from Corfu International Airport (LGKR) with scheduled destination the airport of Chios (LGHI). During the flight the pilot informed that at the arrival time the Airport of Chios (LGHI) would be closed. He changed the flight plan and landed at Samos International Airport (LGSM). At Samos International Airport (LGSM) strong winds were prevailing as a result after landing the aircraft deviated to the left crossing the strip area and stopped in a drainage ditch rainwater. The a/c sustained substantial damage. The pilot was not injured.
